ECNETNews is excited to announce that Jeff Parker and his ETA IVtet will release a new album titled The Way Out of Easy on November 22. The album features four pieces of improvised jazz, totaling an impressive 80 minutes. The first single from the album, “Late Autumn,” is accompanied by a music video showcasing unique mobile toy sculptures created by Parker.
The ETA IVtet, consisting of guitarist Parker, saxophonist Josh Johnson, double bassist Anna Butterss, and drummer Jay Bellerose, gained recognition during their weekly residency at a Los Angeles cocktail bar, where they performed from 2016 until its closure in December 2022. Their previous album, Mondays at Enfield Tennis Academy, was formed from recordings made at the bar. However, The Way Out of Easy was uniquely recorded and live-mixed in just one evening back in January 2023.
