The iconic original lineup of Jane’s Addiction, featuring Perry Farrell, Dave Navarro, Stephen Perkins, and Eric Avery, has reunited in the studio to record a brand new song titled “Imminent Redemption.” This marks their first collaboration in 34 years. The band stated, “It is different this time. To have everyone back together, releasing new music. It’s time. Welcome to the next chapter of Jane’s Addiction. ‘Imminent Redemption’ is only the beginning.”
This exciting studio session comes on the heels of the band’s announcement regarding their first tour featuring the classic lineup since 2010. Kicking off in Europe, where “Imminent Redemption” was first performed, the tour will make its way to North America in September. Notably, this marks Jane’s Addiction’s first new material since their last album, The Great Escape Artist, released in 2011, and the first studio work from the original lineup since the 1990 album Ritual de lo Habitual.
