In a solemn tribute to former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, the government of Mauritius has announced that its national flag will be flown at half-mast across all state institutions until sunset on Saturday, December 28, 2024.
“In light of the passing of Dr. Manmohan Singh, former Prime Minister of the Republic of India, it is officially declared that the national flag of Mauritius will be displayed at half-mast on all government buildings until sunset on December 28, 2024,” stated an announcement from the Prime Minister’s Office in Port Louis.
The government also encouraged the private sector to follow suit by flying their flags at half-mast on the same day.
The state funeral of the former Prime Minister was conducted with full honors at Nigambodh Ghat in Kashmere Gate, Delhi, attended by family, friends, colleagues, and dignitaries from the government.
