Nigerian-born British professional boxer Anthony Joshua has set his sights on defeating Tyson Fury in 2025 to reclaim his status as a three-time world heavyweight champion.
During his recent visit to President Bola Tinubu in Lagos, Joshua shared his aspirations with State House Correspondents, emphasizing the importance of hard work and determination.
“When it comes to my chances against Fury, we’ll see in the ring. Only God knows, but I remain optimistic for the future,” Joshua stated.
Fueled by a desire for continued success, Joshua acknowledged the need for dedication as he prepares for the year ahead. “Time is of the essence, and I want to maximize every opportunity that comes my way,” he added.
Reflecting on 2024, Joshua expressed a commitment to growth. “When I look back, I want to feel that I’ve accomplished more. I see 2025 as another chance to elevate my career.”
Despite setbacks, including his recent match against Daniel Dubois, Joshua remains resolute. “Ups and downs are part of the journey. I have to embrace the challenges and keep moving forward until I achieve my goals.”
