Bloober Team, known for its critically acclaimed Silent Hill 2 remake, is making headlines again with the announcement of its latest project titled I Hate This Place. Revealed during the Future Games Show, this title comes from the newly formed studio, Broken Mirror Games, which operates under Bloober Team. The game is an adaptation of the popular comic series produced in collaboration with Skybound Entertainment.
I Hate This Place is an isometric survival-horror game that casts players in the role of Elena. Players must navigate a terrifying world filled with supernatural evils that Elena inadvertently released. To survive, she will battle waves of monsters using both melee weapons and firearms, while crafting essential supplies to reach safehouses before night falls.
The recently released teaser trailer showcases the game’s distinctive visual style, inspired by retro comic books, closely aligning with the comic’s aesthetics. The trailer also hints at several formidable monsters Elena will encounter, featuring a glimpse of the enigmatic Horned Man, a central antagonist.
The original comic series, I Hate This Place, debuted in May 2022 and ran for 10 issues until July 2023, with two hardcover collections set for release later this year.
I Hate This Place is scheduled to be launched later this year for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC, promising an exciting addition to the survival-horror genre. Stay tuned for more updates from ECNETNews.
