Eighty years after hundreds of Allied soldiers parachuted into Nazi-occupied Netherlands during World War II, modern-day heroes commemorated this historic event with a thrilling parachute jump.
In a spectacular show of unity, 700 paratroopers from eight NATO nations, including the Netherlands, Germany, the UK, and the US, leaped from 12 military aircraft.
The jump was executed in two waves, with all participants landing at Ginkel Heath near Ede, a historic location tied to the original operation.
Among the jumpers were members of the renowned British parachute display team, the Red Devils, adding flair to the event.
This airdrop is part of a series of commemorative events marking the anniversary of Operation Market Garden, a bold military strategy aimed at accelerating the invasion of Nazi Germany and bringing an end to the war in Europe.
