CD Projekt Red has announced the expansion of its playtest program to the United States, opening up opportunities for gamers to participate in testing the new Witcher and Cyberpunk titles in development.
While the program welcomes enthusiastic gamers, CD Projekt Red has specified that participant selection will be selective. The company stated, “If your gamer profile aligns with what we’re looking for, we’ll reach out to you either through email or by phone to ask about your upcoming availability. All playtests will be scheduled at least a few days in advance.”
To qualify for the playtesting opportunity, participants must be at least 16 years old and should not have any professional involvement in the game development industry. Additionally, potential testers must either be residents of Boston, Massachusetts, or be willing to travel there for onsite activities.
Gamers interested in participating can log into their CD Projekt Red accounts to apply through the designated form. Though participation does not guarantee access to specific titles, the Boston studio encompasses several veterans from Cyberpunk 2077, including key personnel working on the sequel to the 2020 game.
CD Projekt Red is actively engaged in multiple game developments, with over 400 team members currently assigned to Witcher 4, a remake of the original Witcher in progress, and another new intellectual property, Project Hadar. This playtest initiative signals the company’s commitment to involving players in the development process of their upcoming titles.
