The Telangana Health Minister has issued a stern warning to health department officials regarding the recent rise in seasonal diseases, particularly dengue. During a review meeting at the Secretariat on Tuesday, the Medical, Health and Family Welfare Minister emphasized the need for immediate action, directing the establishment of a control room at the State level under the oversight of the Director of Public Health. Each district will also have its own control room managed by the district collectors.
The Minister instructed that these control rooms maintain comprehensive records of individuals suffering from seasonal diseases currently receiving treatment in both government and private hospitals throughout the State. Enhanced instructions were mandated for effective management of disease spread and improved care for those affected.
Additionally, the Minister called for a targeted initiative to combat dengue across the State.
