Hayden Davis, previously linked to the contentious LIBRA and MELANIA token launches, has introduced a new cryptocurrency named WOLF.
This new launch comes despite Davis being under an Interpol notice, according to blockchain analytics data.
A thorough investigation unveiled Davis as the creator of WOLF, a token associated with Jordan Belfort, the former stockbroker portrayed in the film “The Wolf of Wall Street.”
“Through our investigation, we have identified Hayden Davis as the individual behind LIBRA, MELANIA, and now WOLF. We initially thought his token-launching days were over, but it seems we were mistaken,” stated the analytics firm.
Investigation Links Davis to WOLF Through On-Chain Analysis
WOLF gained significant traction after being promoted by a popular social media account, achieving a market capitalization of $40 million before experiencing a major price drop, indicative of a potential “rug pull” scheme.
Further blockchain analysis revealed that 82% of the token’s supply was concentrated in a single wallet, a typical red flag in many fraudulent token launches.
The investigation traced several transactions back to Davis, indicating his involvement in the token’s launch. “Starting from the $WOLF creator address, we traced funding across multiple addresses and chains, all leading to a singular address owned by Hayden Davis,” the report elaborated.
The findings suggest that Davis meticulously planned for the launch, funding wallets months in advance and employing complex transaction trails.
Davis has come under international scrutiny following his previous association with LIBRA. Despite a brief surge in LIBRA’s market cap to over $4.5 billion post-endorsement from a political figure, the value plummeted by more than 99%, settling around $18 million.
Subsequent blockchain investigations indicated that insiders, including Davis, profited by selling significant quantities of the token shortly after the endorsement.
An Argentine prosecutor has formally requested an Interpol “Red Notice” for Davis, citing concerns over his ability to evade law enforcement due to his financial means. This notice would render him wanted on an international level.
