In a disturbing incident reported on January 11, 2025, an idol of Lord Hanuman was vandalized in a temple located in the Golbazar area. Authorities have taken swift action, registering a First Information Report (FIR) regarding the incident.
The vandalism occurred on Friday evening within the Sikandarpur police jurisdiction, leading to significant concern among local residents.
Station House Officer Vikas Chandra Pandey confirmed that the mace of Lord Hanuman’s idol in the temple was damaged. Promptly responding to the situation, police arrived at the scene and facilitated the repair of the idol.
A case has been filed against unidentified individuals based on a complaint from Jan Prakash Tiwari, the in-charge of the Sikandarpur police outpost. Authorities are currently engaged in efforts to apprehend the suspects involved in this act of vandalism.
