In an exciting development for tabletop gaming enthusiasts, Mantic Games has released a new behind-the-scenes video detailing the upcoming game Halo: Flashpoint, set for a US launch on November 16. The studio emphasizes a commitment to delivering an authentic experience tailored to fans. A standout feature of this game is its minimal preparation time, allowing players to jump straight into action without lengthy setup.
Mantic Games aims to bring the fast-paced nature of console gaming to the tabletop by designing the game for easy accessibility. “In Halo, you fire up your Xbox, you load in the game, and you’re straight into the game. We’re trying to replicate that with the tabletop edition. You open that box, you slot together the terrain, the miniatures are already built and ready to go,” stated community manager Andy Burdis in the video.
The video showcases a variety of miniatures, including Spartan soldiers and Covenant forces, as well as the terrain players can assemble. Fans can look forward to executing impressive gameplay actions, dependent on their luck during dice rolls. Mantic Games utilized official resources from Halo Studios to craft a game that honors the franchise’s rich history.
Halo: Flashpoint will be offered in two starter sets, although both are currently sold out. Some third-party retailers are expected to have the starter sets available by May 2025. The $125 Halo: Flashpoint Spartan Edition box includes a selection of minifigures and terrain designed for two-player skirmishes between Spartans and Banished, complete with rulebooks and gameplay components to help players get started.
In addition, the Halo: Flashpoint Recon Edition is priced at $78 and features eight Spartan models with various loadouts, accessories, and terrain pieces. This edition is set to launch in March 2025 through Mantic’s official site, but customers should consider shipping and import fees when purchasing.
