Academy Award-nominee Guy Pearce has officially joined the cast of Blurred, an anticipated erotic thriller directed by Ben Cookson, known for his work on Waiting for Anya.
This casting news follows Pearce’s recent Oscar and BAFTA nominations for his exceptional performance in the period drama The Brutalist. His impressive filmography includes acclaimed roles in The Hurt Locker, Iron Man 3, L.A. Confidential, Mary Queen of Scots, Prometheus, and Memento.
Supporting Cast in Blurred
Pearce will star alongside Alex Pettyfer, María Pedraza, and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje in Blurred. The film is produced by Dark Dreams Entertainment and Film Forage, with production wrapped last summer in the UK.
While plot specifics remain under wraps, early descriptions highlight a “smart and sexy thriller” set against the vibrant backdrop of New York’s fashion industry. “Blurred has been an incredible journey—years of creativity and passion have gone into this project. Spanish actress Pedraza gained recognition for her performances in Money Heist and Elite, while Akinnuoye-Agbaje is notable for his roles in Suicide Squad, His Dark Materials, and Thor: The Dark World.
