Arrangements are underway for the upcoming Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) for police constable aspirants in Guntur, scheduled from December 30, 2024, to January 22, 2025. The tests will take place at the Police Parade Grounds.
According to local authorities, a total of 9,084 candidates—7,483 men and 1,601 women—have successfully progressed to this stage after clearing the preliminary examination. The Guntur Superintendent of Police emphasized that comprehensive measures have been implemented to ensure a smooth, transparent, and fair recruitment process.
Candidates must arrive during their designated time slots between 5 a.m. and 10 a.m. and are required to bring original documents, including their SSC and Intermediate mark sheets, community certificates, and other relevant credentials as outlined in their call letter. Those who fail to produce the necessary documents will be disqualified.
To enhance the efficiency and transparency of the testing process, the use of advanced technology such as CCTV cameras has been incorporated. Medical support, including ambulance services, will be onsite, and candidates will receive clear instructions via display boards throughout the venue.
The testing will include height and chest measurements, a 1,600-meter run, a 100-meter sprint, and long jump. Additionally, verification of biometric data, NCC certificates, and local status claims will be conducted.
Authorities have warned candidates to remain vigilant against fraudulent agents who may falsely promise job placements in exchange for money. Those encountering such scams are encouraged to report them by calling 112 or contacting local police, with assurances that informant details will remain confidential.
The Guntur police are committed to executing a fair and robust recruitment process, prioritizing the integrity of the entire system.
