The Pan Nigerian Young Professionals and Youth Leaders Council has accused former Kaduna State Governor Malam Nasir el-Rufai of pursuing a vindictive agenda against President Bola Tinubu’s administration. They claim this effort is aimed at creating a rift between the President and National Security Adviser Mallam Nuhu Ribadu.
During a press conference in Abuja, the President General of the Council, Comr. Nwisabari Bani Samuel, affirmed that Nigerian youth stand firmly behind Ribadu, commending his efforts in enhancing national security.
Samuel highlighted Ribadu’s dedication to integrity, transparency, and good governance throughout his tenure as the inaugural Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
He pointed out that the accusations against Ribadu stem from comments made about the President during his time as EFCC Chairman, suggesting that these claims are rooted in ulterior motives and possible external interference.
Reiterating Ribadu’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all Nigerians, Samuel called on the media and the public to concentrate on the advancements being made and the positive outcomes of Ribadu’s security initiatives rather than getting distracted by baseless allegations.
