Virtua Fighter 5 REVO Edition Set to Launch on Steam January 27
In an exciting update for fighting game enthusiasts, the highly anticipated Virtua Fighter 5 REVO edition will be available on Steam starting January 27. This marks the franchise’s debut on the platform, allowing fans to experience the iconic series in a new way.
Players can take advantage of discounted preorders for the Steam version, with the standard edition priced at just $14, down from $20. Additionally, the 30th Anniversary edition, loaded with extra content, is available for $35, reduced from $50.
Preordering any version will reward players with three unique character customization items inspired by classic Sega consoles such as the Genesis, Saturn, and Dreamcast, allowing for added personalization in their fighting style.
Virtua Fighter 5 REVO will implement rollback netcode for online matches, a feature that has become essential for smoother online gameplay. This enhancement aligns Virtua Fighter 5 REVO with other modern fighting games like Street Fighter 6. The game will also feature 4K resolution, upgraded textures, and numerous balance adjustments across its 19-character roster. The developers at Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have introduced new modes, including 16-player online tournaments and leagues.
The 30th Anniversary version of Virtua Fighter 5 REVO offers an extensive DLC package, including anniversary-themed costumes for all characters, all original soundtracks from previous titles, unreleased music, archival artwork, exclusive in-game rank titles, and additional collaboration DLC packs.
