Iconic post-punk band Gang of Four has officially announced their farewell tour set for next year, marking nearly five decades since their formation. This North American tour will kick off in the spring, featuring a complete performance of their groundbreaking debut album, 1979’s Entertainment!, alongside a selection of fan favorites and hidden gems from their extensive catalog. The complete tour schedule is detailed below.
The North American farewell tour will begin on April 20 in Boston, followed by stops across the United States and Canada. Major cities including Toronto, New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Seattle, and Los Angeles will host the band, culminating in a final performance in San Diego on May 29.
“2025 marks the 45th anniversary of Entertainment! in the US, and it will be our final year as a band. It’s been an incredible journey, but all good things must come to an end,” Gang of Four stated. “We aim to celebrate with our fans and friends on what will be our last tour. Each show will feature two sets: the first will showcase ‘Entertainment!’ in its entirety, followed by a selection of our best work in the second. We invite everyone to join in for an unforgettable experience!”
Since the passing of their esteemed frontman and guitarist Andy Gill four years ago, the band has released three records that feature his contributions, including the 2020 EPs This Heaven Gives Me Migraines and Anti Hero, as well as the highly anticipated box set 77-81.
