In a significant political shift, former Rajya Sabha members Mopidevi Venkataramana and Beeda Masthan Rao officially joined the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) on Wednesday. TDP national president and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu warmly welcomed the new members into the party. Both leaders departed from the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) in August, with Venkataramana expressing his intent to contest from the Repalle constituency in the upcoming 2024 elections, a request that was ultimately denied by YSRCP leadership.
