Sports Interactive has announced that the highly anticipated release of Football Manager 25 has been postponed to March 2025. Initially slated for an early November launch, the game’s release was first delayed to later in the month due to a “challenging” development cycle.
On Thursday, the company confirmed the extension of this delay, citing the necessity for more time to perfect the game and ensure a premier gaming experience. In a statement, Sports Interactive remarked, “After careful consideration, we have made the tough decision to further delay the release of Football Manager 25. Following discussions with our partners, we agree that the best course of action is to delay the launch until March 2025. Specific platform release dates will be announced once confirmed.”
In the previous development update, the studio had indicated the need for additional time to meet the quality expectations of fans. They acknowledged that the development cycle has been arduous, with timelines tight and challenges arising that led to a rushed process which could compromise their high standards.
