Footage has emerged showing survivors being assisted from the wreckage of an Azerbaijan Airlines plane that crashed recently. The flight, which was en route from Baku to Grozny in Chechnya, was reportedly diverted over the Caspian Sea and ultimately crashed near the city of Aktau in western Kazakhstan.
Aviation experts have raised concerns that the aircraft may have been struck by air defense systems, while Russian officials have stated they will refrain from commenting until the investigation concludes.
Of the 67 individuals on board, 29 survived the incident. In response to the tragedy, Azerbaijan declared a national day of mourning for the victims.
