Ark fans are buzzing with anticipation as new details about Ark 2 may soon be unveiled. In an exciting development, Studio Wildcard has announced “Lost Colony,” the first original expansion for Ark: Survival Ascended, which will directly connect the Ark storyline to the highly anticipated sequel. This expansion is set to launch this November.
In “Lost Colony,” players will take on the role of the heroine Mei Yin, who is voiced by renowned actress Michelle Yeoh. Players will explore a new world in search of hidden secrets while enjoying new abilities, gear, builds, and creatures to tame. Preordering the expansion will grant fans access to exclusive gameplay preview content immediately after placing their order.
The expansion will feature multiple anime-style story sequences created by Studio MAPPA, celebrated for its work on popular series. The voice cast also includes notable talents such as Madeleine Madden and Auli’i Cravalho.
Originally launched in August 2017, Ark: Survival Evolved has been reimagined for the next generation of consoles with the updated Survival Ascended, released in late 2023. “Lost Colony” marks a significant milestone as the first expansion tailored exclusively for this updated version, incorporating enhanced technology and gameplay elements.
Ark: Survival Ascended is currently available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. As “Lost Colony” gears up for its release in November, preorder options became available in June, and players can wishlist the expansion on gaming platforms today.
