Fievel Is Glauque will release their highly anticipated new album, Rong Weicknes, on October 25. This album follows the jazz duo’s 2022 LP, Flaming Swords. The lead single, "As Above So Below," has been described by Zach Phillips as “probably our most conventional tune yet,” with lyrics that both playfully critique and embrace typical pop themes.
The music video for the single, directed by Joey Agresta, showcases a blend of visual influences including classic films and nostalgic ‘90s imagery.
On Rong Weicknes, Phillips and Clément collaborated with a talented octet of musicians hailing from the United States, Belgium, and Canada. The album features guitarist Thom Gill, bassist Logan Kane, percussionist Daniel Rossi, André Sacalxot on woodwind, drummer Gaspard Sicx, and Chris Weisman, who contributes guitar and electric sitar. Recording took place at the Outlier Inn, a creative space situated in upstate New York.
