A team of scientists will closely monitor a half-ton satellite as it descends towards Earth, gaining insights into the behavior of debris in our atmosphere. This satellite is part of the Cluster mission, a constellation of four satellites operated by the European Space Agency (ESA) that observes interactions between Earth’s magnetic field and solar wind. The unique satellites, affectionately named Rumba, Salsa, Samba, and Tango due to their spinning motion, are pivotal for understanding space weather and its impact on our planet.
