Wisdom Alfred, popularly known as Dr. H20, rose to fame with a viral video promoting Aquafina Water, capturing widespread attention with his lively presentation. At just 22 years old, Alfred received an investment of N8 million from the brand to support his water business, which included vital equipment and three years of shop rent. However, shortly after the initial excitement, Alfred found himself in a perplexing situation as his business began to falter, leaving him unable to account for the money received.
During a recent interview, Alfred shared his confusion regarding the unforeseen financial losses that struck his business. He explained, “Despite receiving goods worth N8 million from Aquafina due to the attention garnered from my promotional video, I cannot explain where the funds have gone.” Many have speculated about the cause of his troubles, leading Alfred to consider the possibility of spiritual interference, stating, “It feels like something beyond human understanding is at play.”
Alfred recounted his efforts to seek help, including consulting an assigned company representative after he detected problems within the business. Unfortunately, his attempts were met with hostility, creating feelings of abandonment and isolation. He expressed regret for not approaching the company directly sooner.
The young entrepreneur, who operates his business in Anambra State but is currently in Lagos seeking new opportunities, shared the emotional toll this situation has taken on him, including the strain it has put on his family. His mother, who has always been his source of support, is filled with worry after learning of his troubles.
Reflecting on the magnitude of his challenges, Alfred mentioned that he started his business in October 2023, with its collapse becoming apparent by May 2024. Despite the overwhelming negativity surrounding the situation, he remains hopeful for a fresh start. Alfred is committed to applying the lessons learned from this experience and overcoming the obstacles posed by both financial and spiritual challenges.
To cope with the emotional burden, Alfred emphasizes the importance of surrounding himself with supportive friends and family. He openly discussed his mental health struggles, revealing that his darkest moments led him to a critical point where he contemplated ending his life. Thankfully, he was assisted by friends who intervened during that distressing time.
As rumors continue to circulate, Alfred is determined to focus on the true relationships that support him, rather than those who have distanced themselves based on misconceptions. With a renewed sense of faith and the desire for redemption, he looks forward to the possibility of rebuilding his life and business stronger than before.
