Fabio Wardley has stated that Frazer Clarke won’t be able to improve his boxing skills ahead of their highly anticipated rematch on October 12. Wardley retained his British heavyweight title when their first bout ended in a draw earlier this year.
Reflecting on his performance, Wardley rated himself a “six or seven out of ten,” suggesting that while he fought well, there were still areas for improvement. He emphasized that he believes Clarke has already reached his peak, claiming, “That fight pushed him to the brink… I don’t think he’s got too many more tricks up his sleeve.”
The two heavyweights met for a thrilling 12-round encounter, and Wardley is confident that he can secure a victory in their next bout. “There are a lot of little adjustments that need to be made,” he shared. “Overall I was relatively happy with my performance. I almost got him out of there several times.”
