Fabio Wardley has stated that Frazer Clarke won’t be able to improve his boxing skills ahead of their highly anticipated rematch on October 12. Wardley retained his British heavyweight title when their first bout ended in a draw earlier this year.
Reflecting on his performance, Wardley rated himself a “six or seven out of ten,” suggesting that while he fought well, there were still areas for improvement. He emphasized that he believes Clarke has already reached his peak, claiming, “That fight pushed him to the brink… I don’t think he’s got too many more tricks up his sleeve.”
The two heavyweights met for a thrilling 12-round encounter, and Wardley is confident that he can secure a victory in their next bout. “There are a lot of little adjustments that need to be made,” he shared. “Overall I was relatively happy with my performance. I almost got him out of there several times.”
Wardley believes their upcoming fight will carry the momentum from their last encounter, which was deemed one of the most exciting heavyweight matches in years. “I think it’s going to pick up from where we left off,” he remarked.
Both fighters have shared their insights about the rivalry, expressing respect while also exchanging critical opinions. They both have high expectations for the upcoming heavyweight clash, as well as predictions for the Anthony Joshua vs. Daniel Dubois fight on September 21. Wardley and Clarke both anticipate a victorious night for Joshua, commending his experience and current form.
As anticipation builds for their rematch, boxing enthusiasts are looking forward to what promises to be another electrifying showdown. Fans do not want to miss the action on October 12.
