Marcelo Facci, 43, left his life in Ribeirão Preto to relocate to Alphaville in July 2023, influenced by prominent self-help figures. Living with his wife and three children, Facci was drawn to the area’s reputation as a hub for personal development and prosperity.
Alphaville, situated between Barueri and Santana do Parnaíba, is regarded as a hotspot for the burgeoning self-help industry, prominently featuring figures like Pablo Marçal. Facci expressed that Marçal played a vital role in transforming his mindset, saying, “He helped me immensely. It felt like a calling from God to relocate here.” Facci views his new surroundings as a space that promotes emotional intelligence and personal growth.
The “Destiny Method,” taught by mentor Tiago Brunet, encourages participants to break free from a scarcity mindset and strive for peace and prosperity. Meanwhile, Marcelo Facci also attended Paulo Vieira’s “CIS Method,” touted as the largest emotional intelligence training globally. The trio of influential self-help advocates—Marçal, Brunet, and Vieira—has established strong roots in Alphaville.
Pablo Marçal, a rising candidate for the São Paulo mayoral race, previously resided in Alphaville, where he conducted significant business operations. His substantial wealth, as reported during his electoral registration, largely stems from ventures in Barueri, including a holding company based in Alphaville Industrial.
Facci initially overlooked Marçal’s influence but gradually became engaged with his teachings. “It wasn’t until 2022 that I started listening to him. At first, I believed his ideas contradicted biblical principles, but his focus on family values changed my perspective,” Facci recalled.
After participating in various programs, including a 40-day course on Wisdom, Prosperity, and Wealth, and a year-long mentorship costing approximately R$ 5,000, Facci is now deeply invested in Marçal’s teachings. He identified emotional growth and identity development as cornerstones of the mentorship programs.
Alongside his wife, Facci transitioned from Catholicism to Evangelicalism in 2008, finding clarity in their spiritual journey. He appreciates Marçal’s spiritual maturity and shares a unique perspective on wealth, viewing it as a tool to enhance family and purpose rather than a source of conflict.
Facci expresses support for Marçal despite legal controversies surrounding the candidate, emphasizing a positive outlook on his financial transparency and teachings. “Wealth is often viewed negatively in Brazilian culture, but we believe it can support greater purposes,” Facci stated.
As a supporter of Marçal’s mayoral campaign, Facci cannot vote in this election due to residency issues. Nevertheless, he believes Marçal could excel in future political aspirations, citing a vision for the country that aligns with his ideals.
He maintains a favorable view of Marçal amidst past legal issues, suggesting that public perception may misinterpret the candidate’s actions. Facci argues that responsibility for personal safety lies with individuals and that Marçal should not bear the brunt of scrutiny aimed at his character.
