Disney has officially unveiled the name of the much-anticipated Marvel attraction at California Adventure’s Avengers Campus: Avengers: Infinity Defense. Following a two-year wait since the announcement, fans were treated to a glimpse of the attraction’s ride vehicle earlier this week at D23.
In Avengers: Infinity Defense, guests will immerse themselves in a storyline where Tony Stark’s cutting-edge portal technology allows them to traverse various dimensions. However, this groundbreaking innovation has caught the eye of King Thanos, a sinister alternate version of the Mad Titan who triumphed in the Infinity War. Set in an alternate Marvel Cinematic Universe where Thanos never executed the snap, the Avengers will face an unexpected threat as King Thanos aims to bring chaos and disruption.
Guests will join beloved MCU heroes as they defend iconic Marvel locations such as Asgard and Wakanda from King Thanos’ onslaught, culminating in an epic confrontation with the infamous villain.
In addition to Avengers: Infinity Defense, D23 has also revealed the introduction of a new Iron Man-themed ride named Stark Flight Lab, which will be the fourth attraction at Avengers Campus. This innovative robot-arm ride enables guests to simulate flight, embodying the experience of Iron Man himself. Notably, Robert Downey Jr. will return to voice Tony Stark, reinforcing the attraction’s connection to a timeline where Stark continues to thrive.
While a specific opening date has yet to be announced, the construction for Avengers: Infinity Defense is already underway, promising exciting new experiences for Marvel fans in the near future.
