In a highly anticipated cricket season for 2025, England’s men’s and women’s teams are set to host India and West Indies for an exciting summer of matches.
Ben Stokes’ men’s Test team will embark on a five-Test series against India from June 20 to August 4, while Heather Knight’s women’s team will face the same opponents in a series comprising five T20 internationals and three one-day internationals from June 28 to July 22.
Prior to these series, England’s men’s white-ball squad will welcome West Indies for six matches in late May and early June, with their women’s team also scheduled to compete against the Caribbean side around the same time.
The summer will kick off with a one-off Test against Zimbabwe at Trent Bridge from May 22-25, marking Zimbabwe’s first tour of the UK since 2003. The men’s cricket summer will conclude with six white-ball fixtures against South Africa in September, followed by a three-match limited-overs series in Ireland.
In an exciting development, it has been announced that England will host India for the first-ever women’s Test at Lord’s in 2026. This milestone was highlighted by the statement from the England and Wales Cricket Board, emphasizing the significance of such events.
The 2025 summer promises to be thrilling as both men’s and women’s series will run consecutively, furthering the growth and popularity of women’s cricket. Recent successful series, including last year’s Ashes and the Pakistan series, have demonstrated widespread support for women’s matches.
Fans can expect a captivating season ahead with the return of Zimbabwe to Test cricket in England, reinforcing the nation’s commitment to supporting developing cricketing countries. Test cricket remains a cherished format in England, and efforts to promote its growth are ongoing.
