On the final day of campaigning for the Delhi Assembly elections, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal made a bold prediction about his party’s success. Kejriwal stated that AAP is poised to win 55 seats in the 70-member Assembly, urging women voters to play a crucial role in boosting their tally beyond 60.
“According to my estimate, the Aam Aadmi Party will secure 55 seats. However, if women actively participate and encourage the men in their households to vote for us, we can achieve more than 60 seats,” Kejriwal emphasized.
The political landscape in Delhi is marked by intense competition among AAP, the BJP, and Congress. As AAP aims for a third consecutive term, it is countering anti-incumbency sentiments, while the BJP intensifies its efforts to oust the current government. Congress, on the other hand, seeks to regain its previously held influence in the capital.
With voting scheduled for February 5 and results to be announced on February 8, Kejriwal’s comments reflect a strong confidence in AAP’s electoral prospects while directly appealing to women voters for essential support in securing a decisive win.
