PATTANI – A defense volunteer was critically injured when a time bomb hidden in her car exploded while she was commuting to work at the Kapho district office on Monday.
Suyanee Seeba was transported to the hospital following the explosion, which occurred at 10:10 AM, and despite severe injuries, she managed to escape the burning vehicle.
Authorities reported that the explosive device had been concealed in the Suzuki Swift she was driving. It’s believed the bomb was set to detonate after she parked at the district office.
This incident follows a previous attack in Sungai Kolok district, Narathiwat province, on March 8, where multiple bombs and gunfire resulted in the deaths of two defense volunteers and hospitalized 14 others, including civilians.
