Little Simz has been announced as the curator for the highly anticipated Meltdown Festival 2025 at London’s Southbank Centre. The British rapper will personally select the lineup for this milestone 30th edition of the festival, which has previously featured legendary curators including David Bowie and Patti Smith. The event is set to take place from June 12 to June 22, offering a dynamic mix of ticketed concerts, free outdoor performances, and engaging workshops. Fans can expect the first round of lineup announcements in the spring.
Simz expressed her excitement, stating, “I’m super excited to be the 2025 Meltdown festival curator! My team and I are preparing eleven days of art, music, workshops, and more. It’s a true honor to be part of such an illustrious festival. Thank you to the Southbank Centre for having me. Meltdown 2025 the Simz way is going to be epic. I’ll see you there.”
It’s been nearly three years since Simz last released a full album, with her fifth LP, No Thank You, launched in 2022. In addition to her recent Drop 7 EP, she collaborated on Sampha’s track “Satellite Business 2.0” and shared her electrifying Glastonbury performance as a live album.
Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting festival and the forthcoming lineup.
