Politicians from the AfD have reportedly engaged with neo-Nazis in Switzerland, discussing migration and deportations, with claims of a Bundestag representative promoting job opportunities within the government.
A recent investigation highlights parallels to a previous clandestine meeting in Potsdam, revealing that AfD members have once again convened with right-wing extremists, this time in Switzerland. An undercover reporter attended a gathering involving Bundestag representative Roger Beckamp and Brandenburg state parliament member Lena Kotré. They allegedly met with neo-Nazis, including members of Blood and Honour.
Blood and Honour is a neo-Nazi organization banned in Germany, while the Swiss group “Junge Tat” reportedly hosted the meeting. Both organizations are known for their violent tendencies and remain under close scrutiny by authorities in Germany and Switzerland.
AfD Politicians Support Privatization of Deportations
The findings of this investigation underscore the ongoing connections between the AfD and the neo-Nazi movement, highlighting a willingness to exchange extremist and nationalist ideas.
For instance, AfD representative Kotré advocated at the Swiss meeting for the privatization of deportations, suggesting using DNA samples and voice analysis to determine the origins of refugees for deportation purposes. She also proposed revoking citizenship from naturalized Germans if they are deemed to have violated laws.
Widespread Impunity
The undercover investigator observed that these extremist views are increasingly infiltrating mainstream society, facilitated by the AfD: “We are witnessing a growing climate of impunity,” noted the investigator.
The concern is not merely about whether the AfD is extreme, but where it draws the line from classic neo-Nazi ideologies. There is a narrative suggesting that individuals associated with these groups are merely “friendly in-laws” or “migration critics.”
Job Offers for Neo-Nazis
For the investigator, this is a concerning trend. Evidence suggests that AfD Bundestag representative Beckamp openly solicited jobs in his party’s offices for attendees from neo-Nazi groups, aiming to generate funds for their political objectives.
The AfD has yet to respond to these serious allegations. A request for comment on the findings and potential repercussions for the implicated AfD members remains unanswered.
