BitGo, a leading provider of digital asset solutions, has joined forces with Republic, a New York-based investment platform, to broaden access to alternative investment opportunities for individual investors.
This strategic partnership aims to provide everyday investors with access to investment products that have typically been available only to institutional and high-net-worth investors.
Republic plans to utilize BitGo’s infrastructure to enhance its blockchain-powered investment ecosystem, facilitating on-chain access to private market investments for regular investors. This includes the recent addition of the Hamilton Lane Private Infrastructure Fund to Republic’s platform.
By tokenizing HLPIF, Republic is enabling access to an asset class that was previously exclusive to traditional investors, with more tokenized offerings anticipated in the near future.
“Our mission is to provide the necessary infrastructure for Republic to grant its investors access to assets that were previously unattainable,” stated the CEO of BitGo.
“While BitGo is primarily recognized for its digital asset custody, our infrastructure also supports regulated securities, whether they are tokenized on-chain or maintained off-chain.”
As the financial markets increasingly transition to on-chain solutions, BitGo aims to be “the backbone of that transition,” according to the CEO.
With a reputation for crypto custody, wallet services, staking, and trading solutions, BitGo has solidified its position as a key player in the digital asset industry since its inception in 2013.
Recently, BitGo has expanded its influence by collaborating with major financial providers and launching a retail-focused platform to extend its services beyond just institutional clients.
In February 2025, BitGo further enhanced its market presence by unveiling a global over-the-counter (OTC) crypto trading desk, providing clients access to both spot and derivatives trading.
BitGo is also reportedly considering a public listing, reflecting its continuous growth and commitment to the evolving digital asset landscape.
