Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu conducted an extensive review of the flood impact in Enikepadu on September 5, following significant rainfall on August 31 and September 1 that led to widespread flooding of the Budameru rivulet.
During his visit, Naidu engaged with local farmers affected by crop loss and inspected the Ryves Canal and Eluru Canal, assessing the flood damage firsthand. He also traversed the Eluru Canal by boat to evaluate the situation more closely.
The Chief Minister examined ongoing efforts to repair breaches in the Budameru and inquired about emergency measures to mitigate future flooding risks as inclement weather looms.
In addition to inspecting the canals, Naidu visited Devi Nagar, Pasuputhota, and the Government Press area, all of which sustained significant flood damage. He walked along the railway track near Devi Nagar, witnessing the high water levels.
