Recent reports indicate that the highly anticipated Citadel Season 2 has been postponed, shifting its release from fall 2025 to spring 2026. In addition, several spin-off series originally planned for development are now halted until the second season premieres.
The postponement stems from dissatisfaction within Amazon regarding the current progress of Season 2. Although specific details are scarce, sources suggest that there is no set timeline for the series’ return.
Originally, the franchise was set to expand with multiple international spin-offs, including the Italian Citadel: Diana and the Indian Citadel: Honey Bunny, both launched in 2024. However, Amazon has decided to concentrate its efforts on ensuring the success of Season 2 before moving forward with any additional projects.
Citadel features a stellar cast, including Richard Madden as Mason Kane, Priyanka Chopra Jonas as Nadia Sinh, Lesley Manville as Dahlia Archer, and Stanley Tucci as Bernard Orlick. New cast members include Matt Berry, Gabriel Leone, and Jack Reynor.
