Chelsea Football Club has officially announced the signing of young defender Aaron Anselmino, who will commence a loan spell at Boca Juniors for the 2024/25 season.
In a statement released on Thursday, Chelsea confirmed that the 19-year-old has inked a seven-year contract at Stamford Bridge while continuing his development in Argentina. The club expressed enthusiasm about monitoring Anselmino’s growth during this loan period.
Aaron Anselmino began his football journey in the youth ranks of Juventud Unida and Sportivo Realico before joining Boca Juniors at the age of 12. He made a significant leap in his career by signing his first professional contract with Boca on June 10, 2023, making his first-team debut on the same day.
Since then, Anselmino has made nine appearances for Boca and celebrated scoring his first senior goal in April, netting the winning goal in the Copa Sudamericana group stage against Trinidense. Chelsea welcomes Anselmino to the club and wishes him a successful loan spell.
