The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Adolphus Wabara, has praised Governor Alex Otti for his impactful contributions to Abia State. Wabara made these remarks during the 80th birthday celebration of Dr. Godswill Okoro at the International Conference Center, Umuahia. He emphasized that his commitment to the state came before his political affiliations, highlighting the importance of governance over partisan politics.
Despite facing suspension from the Abia State Chapter of the PDP for endorsing Otti’s re-election bid, Wabara reaffirmed his support, stating, “Politics ends after campaigns and elections; then we must focus on governance.” He expressed confidence in Otti’s efforts to revitalize the state following a history of mismanagement.
Dr. Okoro also acknowledged Governor Otti’s contributions, commending the initiation of reconstructing key roads in the state that will bolster agricultural development. He affirmed that Otti has indeed brought a fresh perspective to governance in Abia.
Governor Otti, in turn, congratulated Okoro on his milestone birthday, describing their relationship as one that goes beyond politics. He reiterated the importance of unity and respect among the citizens of Abia and called for a collective embrace of progress and excellence.
In a gesture of solidarity, Otti announced his intention to attend future celebrations for notable figures in the community, underscoring his commitment to fostering connections across political divides.
