Jirayut “Topp” Srupsrisopa, founder and CEO of Bitkub Capital Group Holdings Co, underscored Thailand’s rising influence in the digital asset and blockchain sectors during his participation at the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2025 in Davos, Switzerland.
During the panel discussion “Assets: From Concrete to Ether” in January, Mr. Jirayut joined forces with international financial leaders to discuss the future of finance. He showcased how financial innovation is reshaping traditional assets into digital tokens, positioning Thailand as a frontrunner in this transformative arena. He credited supportive government policies and the strong regulatory framework established by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as vital components driving the growth of the digital asset ecosystem in Thailand.
“Thailand is set to lead in digital assets, especially in the area of real estate tokenization, democratizing investments by allowing individuals to acquire tokens representing real estate for as low as 10 baht,” he stated. Mr. Jirayut announced that Bitkub is actively partnering with local firms to bring such initiatives to fruition.
He also discussed innovative projects involving carbon credit tokens and electricity tokens, known as Green Tokens, which are expected to launch later this year. Mr. Jirayut anticipates substantial growth for tokenized assets across Thailand, Singapore, and the UAE in the coming two to three years.
Despite the optimism, he emphasized the necessity for unified global regulations and standards to close legal gaps and ensure secure liquidity flows. Additionally, he stressed the importance of making blockchain technology more user-friendly to enhance accessibility for everyday people.
“By eliminating technical barriers and integrating blockchain into everyday activities, we can unlock significant advantages for the general public,” he asserted.
Mr. Jirayut’s appearance at WEF 2025 marked his fourth consecutive engagement at this prestigious event, where he shared insights on key topics including Innovative Trade Financing, the Asean Digital Economy Framework Agreement, and the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution in Thailand.
At the WEF event, Bitkub also played a pivotal role in showcasing Thailand on the global stage. The company teamed up with the Thai government, spearheaded by Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra, along with industry giants like PTT Plc, Bangkok Bank Plc, and Siam Cement Plc, to host the Thailand Reception, celebrating the nation’s cultural influence through its famous cuisine.
WEF 2025, which took place from January 20–24 under the theme “Collaboration for the Intelligent Age,” brought together global leaders from various sectors to discuss the technological advancements reshaping economies and daily life worldwide.
