The four oldest provinces of Mongolia—Tuv, Arkhangai, Zavkhan, and Khentii—are set to celebrate their centennial anniversary this July. The festivities will coincide with the vibrant Naadam festival, taking place on July 27-28, marking a century of rich history and cultural heritage.
In addition, over 50 soums across the country will also commemorate their 100th year in 2023, highlighting a significant milestone in Mongolia’s development.
Mongolia, a vast landlocked nation in Central and East Asia, covers an area of 1.56 million square kilometers and is home to approximately 3.5 million residents. The country is organized into 21 provinces and one autonomous prefecture, each contributing to the diverse tapestry of its national identity.
