Man Arrested for Alleged Beheading of 1-Year-Old Son in Northern California
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A man has been taken into custody on suspicion of committing a heinous crime against his 1-year-old son, according to authorities in Northern California.
The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies responded to a family disturbance call in the early hours. Upon arrival, they encountered a woman outside a residence who claimed that her husband attacked her and her mother.
Upon learning that the suspect, identified as Andrey Demskiy, 28, was inside with the child, deputies forcibly entered the home. Inside, they discovered a shocking scene: a severed head of the child in the bedroom where Demskiy was apprehended.
Investigators stated that Demskiy allegedly used a knife to behead his son after his wife and mother-in-law left the premises. He is currently in custody without the possibility of bail and is set to appear in court on Tuesday.
