ECNETNews, New York, NY, March 28, 2025: The vibrant island of Tobago is poised to make waves this Easter weekend, hosting what is being touted as the largest concert in its history, featuring reggae legend Buju Banton as the headline act.
On April 20, Buju Banton will electrify the stage during the Easter Sunday finale of the Rhythm and Soul Festival, an event designed to uplift and unite through the power of music. Joining him are reggae luminaries Gramps Morgan and Wayne Wonder, promising a “generational and spiritual celebration of music” that attendees won’t want to miss.
The Tobago Festivals Commission has revamped its Easter weekend lineup to provide a vibrant experience for locals and tourists alike. A spokesperson commented, “Buju Banton is an undeniable force in music. His energy is unmatched in the reggae scene, and we are thrilled to welcome him this Easter.”
Launching the festivities on Thursday, April 17, internationally renowned Nigerian gospel singer Sinach will take the stage in Tobago for her debut performance. Known for uplifting hits like “Way Maker” and “I Know Who I Am,” Sinach will be joined by leading Caribbean gospel artists, including Positive, Blessed Messenger, and the award-winning Guyanese singer Samuel Medas in a spiritually enriching event titled “Melodies from Heaven.”
On Saturday, April 19, the popular Bucco Seafood Jazz Experience will add to the musical joy featuring international stars Jon Secada and Brian McKnight, alongside Trinidad’s emerging sensation Mical Teja.
Organizers emphasize that the Rhythm and Soul Festival is not just about music—it’s a movement aimed at enhancing Tobago’s tourism landscape while creating economic and creative opportunities for residents. “For our people here on the island, it’s more than entertainment; it fosters employment, independence, and showcases our ability to produce a world-class event annually,” the spokesperson stated.
With ticket sales rapidly increasing and excitement building, organizers urge travelers from Trinidad and beyond to make early arrangements. “This weekend promises an exceptional blend of music, culinary delights, peace, and positive energy,” they noted.
Festival passes are available now, and updates can be found through official communications.
