Former President Jair Bolsonaro has released a video criticizing influencer Pablo Marçal for comparing the physical assault he experienced in a debate to the stabbing incident involving Bolsonaro in 2018.
In his remarks, Bolsonaro expressed regret over the attack by broadcaster José Luiz Datena but stated that Marçal had provoked him excessively. “Using the incident he incited to compare himself to me and [Donald] Trump in pursuit of power is regretful,” he commented.
The ex-president reiterated his support for Mayor Ricardo Nunes and his running mate, Colonel Ricardo Mello Araújo, who was appointed by Bolsonaro. He urged voters to make decisions based on reason rather than emotion.
Bolsonaro emphasized the importance of making informed choices, noting that while it’s possible to err in voting, there’s a significant difference between making a mistake and knowingly casting a faulty vote.
“Do not fall for provocations, fake news, or memes. Ask yourself, what will he deliver to you if he gains power?” he cautioned.
