ECNETNews brings exciting news as Beth Gibbons, the iconic voice of Portishead, announces her first-ever solo concerts in North America. This highly anticipated tour supports her debut solo album, Lives Outgrown, featuring live performances in major cities such as Washington, D.C., New York, and Los Angeles, with opening act Bill Ryder-Jones. Check out the complete list of tour dates below.
The launch of Lives Outgrown was marked by the release of her single “Floating on a Moment,” followed by additional tracks “Lost Changes” and “Reaching Out.” Produced by James Ford alongside Gibbons and featuring contributions from Talk Talk drummer Lee Harris, the album promises to be a captivating experience for fans.
It’s been nearly 17 years since Portishead’s last album, Third, was released, and Gibbons last performed in the U.S. with the band in 2011. Since then, she has engaged in various projects, including collaborations on Kendrick Lamar’s “Mother I Sober,” the JJ Doom track “GMO,” a Black Sabbath cover, and the poignant “Prospera’s Coda” for a film adaptation of The Tempest.
