Asosiasi Lintas Sektor Menolak Aturan Produk Tembakau dan Menyampaikan Tuntutannya

Jakarta, ECNETNews – Ratusan asosiasi lintas sektor mengungkapkan penolakan terhadap kebijakan kontroversial terkait pengaturan produk tembakau dalam Peraturan Pemerintah (PP) Nomor 28 Tahun 2024 dan Rancangan Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan (RPMK) yang menjadi turunan dari peraturan tersebut.

Wakil Ketua Umum Asosiasi Pengusaha Indonesia (Apindo) menyatakan bahwa aturan yang menjadi sorotan mencakup zonasi larangan penjualan dan iklan luar ruang serta wacana kemasan polos tanpa merek untuk produk tembakau dan rokok elektronik. “Kebijakan ini memunculkan polemik dan ketidakpastian bagi pelaku usaha di berbagai sektor,” jelasnya.

Lebih lanjut, regulasi industri tembakau diharapkan tidak memberatkan, terutama mengingat kontribusinya yang signifikan bagi perekonomian Indonesia. Apindo mengingatkan bahwa pemerintah harus berhati-hati dalam merumuskan kebijakan, dengan mempertimbangkan kondisi sosio-ekonomi Indonesia yang unik.

Industri tembakau, yang menyerap jutaan tenaga kerja dari berbagai lapisan, mulai dari petani hingga pedagang, memainkan peran penting dalam struktur ekonomi dan budaya. Oleh karena itu, kebijakan yang diterapkan tidak dapat hanya bersandar pada contoh dari negara lain tanpa memperhatikan aspek budaya lokal.

Dalam acara yang diselenggarakan di kantor Apindo, Ketua Umum Perkumpulan Gabungan Perserikatan Pabrik Rokok Indonesia (Gappri) juga mengapresiasi langkah Apindo dalam mendengarkan aspirasi industri hasil tembakau. Ia menekankan bahwa industri ini mencakup mata rantai ekonomi yang besar, sehingga perubahan kebijakan dapat berdampak serius tidak hanya pada pendapatan negara, tetapi juga pada penyerapan tenaga kerja.

Untuk menyampaikan aspirasi ini secara kolektif, berbagai asosiasi dari pabrikan, petani tembakau, serikat pekerja, dan sektor terkait lainnya menandatangani pernyataan untuk meminta perlindungan pemerintah. Mereka berharap pemerintah meninjau ulang ketentuan standardisasi kemasan dalam RPMK serta pasal-pasal yang dianggap merugikan dalam PP 28/2024.

Konferensi pers yang dipimpin oleh Apindo dihadiri oleh lebih dari 20 asosiasi lintas industri, menegaskan komitmen bersama untuk membela kepentingan sektor ini di tengah perubahan regulasi yang berpotensi membatasi ruang gerak dan pertumbuhan industri hasil tembakau di Indonesia.
