The Indian Army, in conjunction with the Indian Air Force and other armed forces, successfully executed a high-intensity integrated multi-domain warfare exercise, Ex Prachand Prahaar, in the challenging high-altitude terrain of Arunachal Pradesh. This significant event took place from March 25 to 27 under the Eastern Command, simulating future combat scenarios while emphasizing joint operational capabilities.
The exercise aimed to enhance battlefield synergy and featured state-of-the-art platforms, including long-range maritime reconnaissance aircraft, UAVs, loitering munitions, and armed helicopters, alongside space-based assets. These advanced technologies played a crucial role in facilitating superior surveillance, real-time target acquisition, and rapid response within an electronically contested environment.
Coordinated strikes were demonstrated using a combination of fighter jets, long-range rockets, artillery, swarm drones, kamikaze drones, and armed helicopters, highlighting the precision engagement capabilities of the forces involved. The exercise was observed by Eastern Army Commander Lt Gen Ram Chander Tiwari and Eastern Air Command’s Air Marshal Surat Singh, who commended the troops for their professionalism and operational excellence.
This drill builds on the foundation established by Ex Poorvi Prahar, conducted in November 2024, and significantly progresses the joint warfighting capabilities of the Indian armed forces.
