Apple is gearing up for an exciting few months ahead.
The tech giant is set to unveil new iPhone models and additional gadgets on September 9. Following this launch, Apple is rumored to host another event in November, dedicated to the Mac lineup.
Reports indicate that Apple plans to upgrade all Mac models to the M4 chip, with some releases anticipated later this year. While there’s a potential for an October event, the latest details suggest new Macs could be available by November. This timeline mirrors last year’s pattern, where new Macs were announced on October 30 and became available on November 7.
The upcoming event may showcase a new entry-level, 14-inch MacBook Pro featuring the M4 chip, alongside 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models equipped with the M4 Pro and M4 Max chips. Additionally, an updated iMac with the M4 chip and a redesigned, smaller Mac mini featuring the M4 and M4 Pro chips are also expected. Notably, these new devices will likely come standard with 16GB of RAM.
Although many of these devices will resemble their predecessors in design, the Mac mini is rumored to adopt a more compact, cube-like form factor compared to the current model.
The M4 chip first appeared in the iPad Pro launched in May. While it offers a reasonable upgrade over the M3 chip, details on the advanced M4 Pro and M4 Max chips are still emerging.
