Apple has officially released iOS 18.0.1, addressing multiple issues faced by iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro users.
This update rectifies a significant touch screen bug that affected responsiveness under certain conditions and resolves a freezing issue encountered with the iPhone 16 Pro’s camera while recording macro mode in 4K with HDR disabled.
Additionally, the update fixes a problem that caused the Messages app to crash when replying to a message with a shared Apple Watch face, as well as performance issues related to memory allocation on specific iPhone models.
While iOS 18.0.1 does not introduce new features, the extensive list of crucial fixes makes it an essential upgrade for affected users.
In conjunction with iOS 18.0.1, Apple has also updated iPadOS to version 18.0.1 and macOS Sequoia to version 15.0.1. The iPad update includes similar fixes for Messages and performance issues akin to those in iOS 18. Meanwhile, macOS Sequoia enhances compatibility with third-party security software and resolves the Messages bug as well.
All users can access the new updates through Settings – General – Software Update.
