In response to the heavy rains battering Andhra Pradesh for the past 24 hours, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has called for immediate action to address the situation.
During a review meeting held on Saturday morning, Naidu emphasized the need for all relevant department officials to remain vigilant, especially with forecasts indicating continued rainfall.
He raised concerns about potential hazards, including the risk of electrical wires snapping and the danger of individuals falling into manholes.
The Chief Minister instructed officials to install flood warning signs at swollen rivers and canals impacted by upstream water release, and to disseminate alert messages via mobile notifications.
