ECNETNews reports that HP Solutions has introduced an array of enhanced services aimed at boosting IT productivity and promoting sustainability. These offerings include upgraded support services, a new device registration service, and an expanded collection of certified refurbished PCs. Unveiled ahead of CES 2025 in Las Vegas, these innovations are designed to streamline device management, decrease downtime, and support businesses in achieving their circularity objectives.
HP’s enhanced Support Services now leverage artificial intelligence to identify and resolve device health issues proactively, significantly reducing costly disruptions for organizations. Available globally, the upgrades cater to various IT requirements through three distinct packages:
- HP Essential Support: Incorporates onsite device repair alongside standard remote support. Customers can opt for AI-powered device health insights to facilitate early problem detection.
- HP Premium Support: Provides 24/7 remote assistance, next-day onsite repairs, and predictive AI tools designed to identify potential device issues. End-user alerts and automated ticketing help to expedite repairs and mitigate disruptions.
- HP Premium+ Support: Enhances Premium Support with prioritized access to parts and expert HP service representatives, ensuring the quickest repair times possible.
“HP is committed to reducing employee downtime, enabling organizations to maintain focus on their business objectives,” said a senior executive at HP Lifecycle Services. “By harnessing AI technology, we’re working to prevent issues before they surface, providing support teams with critical insights for efficient resolution.”
The updated support packages are applicable to both new and post-warranty devices and can be integrated into Managed Device Solutions.
Additionally, HP introduced the HP Device Registration Service, aimed at alleviating IT workloads by automating the registration process for new devices in modern management platforms. Scheduled for a global launch in February 2025, this service features:
- Automated integration: Ensures devices are registered into preferred management platforms during manufacturing, minimizing the need for manual setups.
- Rapid registration: Guarantees device registration within 48 hours of shipping, enabling IT teams to assign user profiles before delivery.
- Enhanced monitoring: Provides automation and reporting tools that support efficient data management and secure access to registration information.
This service is particularly relevant as support for Windows 10 concludes in October 2025, prompting organizations to update their aging device fleets.
Furthermore, HP is expanding its Certified Refurbished PC portfolio under the HP Renew Solutions initiative, aligning with increasing business demands for sustainable IT solutions. This expanded portfolio includes models such as:
- HP EliteBook 830 G8 (U.S. only)
- HP EliteBook 840 G8
- HP EliteBook 850 G8
- HP EliteDesk Mini 800 G6
All refurbished devices come with a one-year warranty, along with options for two- or three-year offsite support packages. Availability is set to extend to the UK, Spain, Sweden, and the Netherlands by April 2025, joining existing offerings in the U.S. and France.
