When the casting for “Agatha All Along” was initially revealed, many speculated that Joe Locke would take on the role of Billy Kaplan, the teenage version of one of Wanda Maximoff and Vision’s sons. However, the character’s true identity has not yet been disclosed, as he is referred to simply as “Teen” in the series. A newly released trailer hints that Teen’s actual name may not be as significant as the extraordinary abilities he already possesses.
In the video, Teen asserts that he is responsible for liberating Agatha Harkness from the Scarlet Witch’s spell, which entrapped her during the climactic finale of “WandaVision” in 2021. Teen seeks Agatha’s guidance because she is the only witch to have survived the formidable Witches Road. His ambition is to replicate her feat to gain his own powers. There’s also a suggestion that an unseen influence is preventing Teen from revealing his true name, which may be a clever editing choice to preserve the mystery.
Agatha, having lost her powers due to Wanda’s actions, agrees to support Teen’s plan. She also gathers a new group of witches, including Jennifer Kale, Sharon Davis, Lilia Calderu, and Rio Vidal. However, the trailer foreshadows inevitable betrayals within this coven, highlighting Agatha’s willingness to eliminate anyone who obstructs her path to power.
At D23, the cast performed “The Ballad of the Witches Road,” an original piece by notable songwriters associated with “WandaVision.” This musical element is set to be a prominent feature in the series.
The first two episodes of “Agatha All Along” are set to debut on Disney+ on September 18.
