Adam Azim and Sergey Lipinets are set to clash at Wembley Arena this Saturday in a highly anticipated matchup, marking a career milestone for the 22-year-old Azim as he faces a former world champion for the first time.
Confident in his abilities, Azim boldly declared, “It’s not going past six rounds,” directly addressing Lipinets. The Kazakh fighter, however, remains unfazed, stating, “We will see,” and affirming his readiness for the challenge. “I’m ready for the fight,” Lipinets asserted, promising to demonstrate his prowess over all 12 rounds. “He is young, quick, and fast, but I have the experience, and we will see who will win this fight,” Lipinets emphasized.
Determined to reclaim a world title, Lipinets expressed his ambition: “Of course I want to win a title again. It’s my dream to be a world champion again. In the ring, I will show everything.” Azim’s trainer, Shane McGuigan, acknowledged Lipinets as a dangerous opponent, describing the match as a calculated risk for Azim. “We know this is going to be an all-action fight. Lipinets will be on him from the first bell. I believe he has what it takes to stop Sergey Lipinets,” McGuigan stated.
Azim is eager to prove himself, declaring, “This is my time to shine. I’m very highly confident and can’t wait to get in the ring.” He respects Lipinets as a former IBF world champion, recognizing his opponent’s accolades and experience at the world-class level. “I’ve got to hit him as much as I can to get him down. I’m expecting fireworks on Saturday night,” Azim added.
In the co-main event, Elvis Ahorgah is set to face Callum Simpson for the Commonwealth super-middleweight title and did not hold back with his pre-fight comments. “They should come in their numbers because I’m ready for it. That’s why they call me ‘The Soldier’. I’m not here to joke. My mission is to take the title—mission possible,” Ahorgah proclaimed. Simpson humorously responded, “After that speech, I’m a bit scared to be honest.”
Fans can catch all the action live, starting at 7 PM this Saturday.
